Atlantic Way Trail

Atlantic Way Trail is a 2 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Old Orchard Beach, Maine that features a great forest setting and is good for all skill levels.

Cascade Falls Trail

Cascade Falls Trail is a 0.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Saco, Maine that features a waterfall and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and short nature trips.

Clifford Park Trail is a 2.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Biddeford, Maine that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

Eastern Trail from Saco to Scarborough

Eastern Trail Saco to Scarborough

This part of the Eastern Trail is over 8 miles of flat easy trails connecting Saco, Old Orchard Beach, and Scarborough. The northern end of the trail traverses the Scarbrough Marsh providing scenic views and wildlife encounters.

Ferry Beach State Park Trails

Ferry Beach State Park Trails

This loop trail starts and ends on Ferry Road a few hundred yards west of Camp Ellis and features three large tupelo trees of the type normally found in southern climates. The trail passes through a mixed hardwood-softwood forest.

Ferry Landing Trail

Kinney Shores beach is located off Seaside Avenue on Saco Bay. There are lifeguards on duty during the day from the end of June until the middle of August.

Guild Park Trail in Old Orchard Beach

Guild Park Trail

Often called the “Red Dot Trail” because it is marked by red dots, this one-mile trail system takes you through old-growth forest of hemlocks and Cathedral Pines. There is also a covered bridge at the Temple Avenue trailhead location.

Manor Street Trail

Called the Blue Dot Trail,” this trail system takes you through old-growth forest of hemlocks and Cathedral Pines. The trail begins on Free Street, just down from Winona Ave near Guild Park. At the entrance is a short boardwalk.

Middle Goosefare Trail in Saco Maine

Middle Goosefare Trail

This trail, which lies within a few feet of US Route 1 is beautiful, surprisingly quiet, and has a wide variety of land types including hardwood and softwood with Goosefare Brook running through the property. The whole hiking trail is a little over a mile.

Plymouth Trail in Saco Maine

Plymouth Trail

This trail leads hikers into the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge from the Plymouth subdivision that surrounds the refuge marshland. The Plymouth Trail extends from the trailhead on Plymouth Drive, connects with Vines Trail and terminates at the Atlantic Way Trail.

The 1,223-acre Saco Heath Preserve is accessible by a mile long trail along a boardwalk and features a unique raised coalesced bog, which is the southernmost example of its type.

This woods-to-salt marsh trail offers excellent bird observation and an opportunity to see plant succession. The trail crosses property belonging to Oceanwood Camp and the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge. It ends near Goosefare Brook

Vines Road Trailhead
