While visiting the Scarborough area, I spent some time in Biddeford. I discovered Rotary Park one afternoon.
Rotary Park is Biddeford’s largest park with over 70 acres. It’s located away from the city center. It is a very nice, spacious park.
It has numerous features from walking trails, a dog park, and a skateboard park to a picnic grove with tables and grills, a beach for swimming that has seasonal lifeguards, a boat launch, two playgrounds, and several athletic fields. There’s a teen center for Biddeford residents.
On the afternoon of my visit, a teenage boy was having a good time at the skateboard park near the entrance. Near the other end, a girls’ softball game was about to start. Nearby at one of the playgrounds, a young father was supervising his daughter on the swing sets.
There is a lot of green space. There was a woman taking in the views of a meadow with a stand of trees in the background.
I rate the Rotary Park at 4.50.
