Biddeford is Maine’s sixth-largest city, with over 21,000 residents. The city is located along the I-95 corridor and is a very unique former mill town community that’s just 5 miles southwest of Old Orchard Beach and only 90 minutes north of Boston. The city is in the midst of a cultural renaissance with a rapidly-changing population and has recently seen an influx of new residents under 30 years of age. The city boasts a vibrant historic downtown, including redeveloping and restored historic mills, monthly ArtWalks and City Theater performances, along with international restaurants, as well as a scenic riverwalk. Saco lies at the mouth of the Saco River in southern Maine, along the Atlantic Ocean and Saco Bay. The city sits between 7 miles of sandy beaches to the East and the beautiful Saco River to the West. Saco is just 4 miles south of Old Orchard Beach and less than a 90 minute drive north of Boston. The city is a former mill town with a growing population of 19,000+ residents and boasts a revitalized and picturesque downtown, a restored mill district, a thriving business community, a world-class educational system, and many recreational activities such as fishing, cycling, hiking, biking and kayaking. Downtown Saco is filled with art galleries, novelty shops, neat restaurants, gathering spaces and public parks. There’s also easy access to the Saco River from the downtown area. Scarborough is located in Cumberland County on the southern coast of Maine. The city is less than a 2-hour drive from Boston and is just 8 miles north of Old Orchard Beach. Scarborough is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford metropolitan statistical area snd has a population of 19,000+ people. Scarborough is notable for its long sandy beaches and dunes, like many coastal cities in southeast Maine, but there is much more to do in the area.
