We don’t want to brag, but Old Orchard Beach is home to the best beaches in Maine. After all, “Beach” is in our name. With 9 pristine beaches spanning 7+ miles of sand along Saco Bay, from Pine Point Beach to Camp Ellis Beach on the mouth of the Saco River, we have a beach to fit your every mood. And if you’re not feeling like a beach day, then get out and explore some of Maine’s natural surroundings by visiting one of our local parks or scenic nearby state parks.
Old Orchard Beach is a great place for swimming and sunbathing, but you will also find people bodysurfing, playing volleyball, kayaking, jetskiiing, and just strolling along the 7 mile beachfront.

A long sandy beach on Saco Bay that extends from the jetty at Pine Point to Old Orchard Beach. This sandy, 4-mile-long beach popular with families offers equipment rentals & a snack bar.

A small stretch of sandy beach that sits between Pine Point Beach in Scarborough and Surfside Beach in Old Orchard that offers some of the best swimming with water temps in the high 60’s throughout July and August.

A small stretch of sandy beach that sits between Grand Beach in Scarborough and Old Orchard Beach that offers some of the best bodysurfing and windsurfing in Maine.
Surfside Beach

This beach area is in Ocean Park, a historic cottage community. The beach runs along the seven mile stretch of Old Orchard Beach.

Kinney Shores beach is located off Seaside Avenue on Saco Bay. There are lifeguards on duty during the day from the end of June until the middle of August.

Bayview Beach is a small stretch of sandy beach that sits between Kinney Shores Beach and Ferry Beach in Saco. Bayview is a quiet beach, perfect for sunbathing and beach combing. Lifeguards are stationed from 10 am to 5 pm every day.

Ferry Beach is located within Ferry Beach State Park. At the beach you can enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean, go for a swim, dig for clams, or go beach combing.

Ferry Beach State Park is a fantastic park for family outings offering an astounding sandy beach, stunning nature trails, and beautiful picnic areas – a quiet place to relax if you want to dodge the crowds of the neighboring beaches.

Scarborough Marsh Audbon Center provides guided and self-guided walks along a nature trail as well as canoe tours and exhibits that allow visitors to explore the habitat and wildlife of Maine’s largest salt marsh.

Guild Park is a 10 acre old-growth white pine and spruce grove located in the Ocean Park community of Old Orchard Beach. It offers scenic walking trails and a covered footbridge.
